The steps to take in order to Migrate or DR Sync Debian workloads are described in this article.
The steps are as follows:
1. Verify that you are running RMM version 7.4.3.22 or later.
2. For an existing system approach, where the target is pre-provisioned by hand, you can simply provide the target details on the 'System' tab and proceed with the syncs.
3. If Autoprovisioning to OCI, an image of Ubuntu 20 would be needed.
You can use this link to access the images provided by OCI: https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/images/
Once clicking that link, from the side-menu, goto Ubuntu 20.04 > Click on the latest version of the image. This will open a new page displaying the Image OCID for regions.
Copy the Image OCID for your target region on notepad.
On the RMM GUI, Navigate to the 'OCI Options' tab for your sync. Be sure the OCI Image Type is ID and then provide the OCI Image OCID that you copied on the notepad.
4. If the target VM already exists in OCI due to a failed sync attempt, terminate the target VM in OCI.
5. On the System tab, be sure the Target Type is set to Autoprovision.
6. Press the Modify button at the bottom of the screen to save the changes.
7. Restart the sync
