In Stage sync there are two mode, stage1 and stage1+2.

Stage1 Sync:

To perform the Stage 1 sync, a storage pool needs to be created. Please refer to this [KB_link] for instructions on creating a storage pool.
In Stage 1, all source applications will be backed up to SWIFT storage. The sync will occur from your source cluster to SWIFT.
