If you already have a DR Policy running, for example with a 2-hour cutover window, but now some important changes in production need more frequent syncing (say every 1 hour), you can use the Modify option.

If you need to change the schedule of an existing Disaster Recovery (DR) Policy, you can easily do this by using the Modify option available in the DR Policy settings.

The Modify option lets you:

  • Change the sync frequency or periodicity.

  • Update email alerts or notifications.

  • Make other adjustments to the existing DR Policy without creating a new one.

In short, whenever you need to update the schedule or settings of your DR Policy, use Modify.

Pre-requisite:

    1. Policy should be created.

How to modify the DR Policy.

1. Go to the 'DR Polices' under 'Business continuity & DR'. And click on the DR Policy. > click on 'Edit' under Action section. Please see below screenshot.

2. Once you click the Edit button, you will see the prompt below, where you can change the periodicity and email alert settings.

3. Now, change the periodicity from Daily to 1 hour. Then, click on 'By Frequency' and set it to 30 minutes and click on 'modify'

4.  You can check below screenshot , that DR policy has changed to 30 min.
